Laurence Shaw, Chief Executive Officer

Laurence is a founding partner of Fusion AI Partners, our parent, and CEO of Anomaly42. Laurence has over 25 years executive experience in Financial, IT and business services companies. Prior to founding Fusion AI he was Senior Vice President of International for Keane (NYSE).  Laurence has also held executive positions in Headstrong, Premier Systems and Drexel Burnham Lambert. Anomaly42 is the 5th Cloud business Fusion has launched.

Doug Brown, Chief Enterprise & Innovation Officer

A co-founder of Anomaly42, Doug has extensive experience in the creation and successful development of cloud technology start-ups and in consulting to global corporate clients having worked as a Partner and Executive Director for companies such as IBM, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Ernst & Young LLP and Wipro Technologies. Doug, who lectures at Cranfield University and has achieved ACII, MSc and MBA qualifications, has a passion for innovative digital technologies and his specialisms include fraud detection and prevention, data science and consumer behaviour analysis.

Mark Jones, Chief Data Scientist

Prior to joining Anomaly42 Mark has held a variety of senior roles at corporations that include Royal Bank of Scotland Insurance, Direct Line, Abbey National Group, NatWest Group and EMB (now part of Towers Watson). In addition he has been instrumental in founding two successful start-ups namely LinkUp and Conversant Data. Mark's specialisms lie within both structured and unstructured data mining, fraud prevention, detection and investigation technologies including the application of Investigative Psychology. 

Freddie McMahon, Evolution Evangelist

Freddie is also Head of Strategy and Innovation at our partner FusionExperience and has held similar roles at Norwich Union, NatWest and JP Morgan. In his role at Fusion Freddie has pioneered the development of the Building Data Ecosystems and Better Control of Unknown Risks solutions built on the Anomaly42 platform. His passion is the deployment of automation using advanced forms of artificial intelligence and the development of lead indicators. Freddie has held senior executive roles in major corporations nationally and internationally. 

Frikkie van der Merwe, Information Enterprise Architect

Frikkie is a pioneer in the development of customer specific information systems and an entrepreneur having been involved as a shareholder and director in a number of successful IT companies over the last 17 years both in South Africa and Europe. Previously, he held high ranked ICT positions in both the public and private sectors. With an in depth knowledge and understanding of business models, workflow, procedures and controls, Frikkie also possesses an expertise in modelling innovative systems and solutions.

Riaan Liebenberg, Strategic Systems Project Engineer

Riaan is a successful serial IT entrepreneur and has been instrumental in the creation, completion and maintenance of many large scale ICT turn key projects for both public, banking and private sector clients. These have included Security and Biometric Access Controls and Forensic Investigation Systems. With considerable consultancy, military and civil defence experience, Riaan’s expertise lies in converting complex customer requirements, often with multiple sites or distributed infrastructure, specialised hardware and unique business processes, into integrated systems to significantly enhance the day-to-day operational performance.
